Coated Acrylic Foam Tape (AFTC)
Coated acrylic foam tapes are the material of choice when structural adhesive bonding must replace mechanical fasteners in automotive body panels, architectural cladding, structural glazing, and industrial panel assemblies where a pre-finished bond surface, high initial strength, and long-term durability under UV, moisture, and thermal cycling are required. Their acrylic foam core combined with pre-applied adhesive delivers peel and shear strength comparable to weld and rivet joints in many substrates, including low-surface-energy plastics, powder-coated metals, and glass, without the read-through or corrosion pathways of mechanical fastening.
