Rubber Adhesives
Rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesives are the material of choice when high initial tack and aggressive grab across a wide range of substrates are the primary bonding requirement — in general mounting, double-coated assembly, and applications where immediate handling strength matters more than long-term UV or temperature resistance. Their rubber PSA chemistry delivers high peel adhesion and fast bond development on paper, cardboard, painted metal, and many plastics at a cost point suited to high-volume assembly applications. H-O Products carries rubber-based PSA tapes in double-coated and single-sided configurations and converts them to customer specification.
5000M
5000M is a differential double-coated rubber adhesive tape with 1.4 mils of high-tack rubber adhesive on the exposed side and 1.3 mils of general-purpose rubber adhesive on the liner side, built on a 0.5 mil PET film carrier. The total tape thickness is 7.7 mils including the 4.5 mil 80# poly-coated kraft liner. Peel adhesion reaches 230 oz/in on the exposed side and 220 oz/in on the liner side when tested with 2 mil aluminum foil backing, with shear hold exceeding 24 hours and a service temperature range of 30°F to 150°F.

M1207
M1207 is a double-coated rubber-based adhesive tape constructed with an aggressive permanent adhesive on both faces: 1.6 mils on the exposed side and 1.4 mils on the liner side, supported by a 0.5 mil PET film carrier. Peel adhesion reaches 115 ozf/in on stainless steel (liner side) and 100 ozf/in on ABS, with Polyken probe tack values of 1,875 g (liner side) and 1,450 g (exposed side), and shear hold exceeding 10,000 minutes on both faces. The tape passes FMVSS-302, UL723 25/50 smoke/spread, and 21 CFR 175.105 indirect food contact requirements.

R-242
R-242 is a self-wound double-coated rubber adhesive tape with 2.5 mils of aggressive permanent rubber adhesive on the exposed (air) side and 2.0 mils on the liner side, supported by a 0.5 mil PET film carrier on a 76# poly-coated kraft liner. Total thickness without liner is 5.0 mils. Peel adhesion reaches 200 oz·f/in on the air side and 157 oz·f/in on the liner side at 20-minute dwell, with static shear hold exceeding 500 hours at 1,000 grams on both faces. Continuous service temperature is 0°F to 120°F with intermittent capability to 150°F.

SLM 360
SLM 360 is a double-coated polyester (PET) film tape coated on both sides with an extremely aggressive rubber pressure sensitive adhesive at 1.5 mil adhesive thickness. Formulated for difficult bonding applications with excellent quick-stick and shear properties, it delivers 96 oz/in peel adhesion per PSTC-101 and carries three automotive OEM qualifications: GM3622, Chrysler MS-CC211, and Delphi SD2-324. Service temperature extends from −10°F to 180°F continuous.
