Glass Fiber Paper (ManniGlas®)
Glass fiber paper is the material of choice when non-combustible thermal and fire barrier backing is required in insulation blankets, arc barriers, or switchgear where organic papers and films would contribute to flame spread. Its inorganic glass mat construction is inherently non-combustible, dimensionally stable at temperatures exceeding 1000°C, and provides a reliable dielectric backing layer for thermal insulation systems in high-voltage electrical equipment. H-O Products carries ManniGlas® glass fiber paper across the 1200, 1900, 1902, and 2000 series, and converts them to customer specification.
ManniGlas® 1200
ManniGlas® 1200 is a premium grade, non-respirable glass fiber paper manufactured from electrical grade glass fibers, available in standard thicknesses of 0.015", 0.030", 0.060", and 0.125" (0.38, 0.76, 1.52, and 3.18 mm). It withstands humidity and continuous operating temperatures up to 1200°F (640°C) without shrinkage — a higher continuous rating than the ManniGlas® 1900/1902/2000 series — and achieves a LOI of 6% by weight. The material is positioned on the TDS as a premium grade, low-cost alternative to silicone and ceramic fiber gasketing materials.

ManniGlas® 1900
ManniGlas® 1900 is a white, non-respirable glass fiber paper designed for thermal gasket and insulation applications, available in thicknesses of 1/32", 1/16", 1/8", and 1/4" with post-compression densities of 7 to 11.5 lb/ft³ depending on gauge. It withstands continuous operating temperatures up to 1100°F with excursion capability to 1200°F, and achieves a LOI of 6% by weight. The material passes UL 94V-0 for non-flammability (excluding certain specialty grades), is ROHS compliant, and REACH compliant.
