Fluoroelastomer (FKM / Viton®)
Fluoroelastomer is the material of choice when chemical aggression, elevated temperatures above 300°F, or aerospace fuel and hydraulic system specifications eliminate all standard rubber compounds from consideration. Its fluorocarbon chemistry provides near-universal resistance to aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, oils, fuels, and mineral acids at continuous service temperatures up to 500°F, and carries the qualification credentials — AMS 3216, MIL-R-83248 — required for QPL-approved aerospace sealing. H-O Products carries the full range of FKM families, from commercial solid and sponge grades through Fluorozone® Mil-Spec Performance FKM made with 3M™ Dyneon™ polymer and Viton™ A AMS 3216 aerospace-spec sheet, and converts them to customer specification.
