12# ClipFoam™
12# ClipFoam™ is a high-performing double-sided mounting tape with a very high bond LSE-type acrylic permanent adhesive (I626) on a crosslinked polyethylene foam/EVA and PET laminate carrier, available in a single thickness of 3/32″. Adhesion to steel is 86 oz/in (air side) and 94 oz/in (liner side) per PSTC-101 MOD, with a service temperature range of -30°F to 220°F. The foam and PET laminate construction reduces foam stretching and supports bonding to extrusion substrates at relatively high processing speeds.

12# ClipFoam™ is a double-sided mounting tape designed for high-performance bonding applications where a very high bond, low surface energy (LSE) acrylic adhesive is required. The construction combines a crosslinked polyethylene foam/EVA substrate with a PET laminate, which reduces foam stretching and improves handling during application to extruded profiles at relatively high line speeds. The acrylic adhesive system (I626) is permanent and provides moderate tack with excellent shear strength and adhesion.
The tape bonds well to a broad range of substrates including aluminum, glass, ABS, TPO, PE, PP, powder-coated paints, and metals, and is suited to sealing, bonding irregular surfaces, cushioning, thermal and sound insulation, shock and vibration absorption, and gap filling. Volume resistivity exceeds 4.8e+12 ohm·cm at 500 V, 85°C, and 85% RH. Tensile strength is 121.83 psi (glass/glass) and 117.48 psi (aluminum/glass).
The laminating temperature range is 68°F to 100°F, and shelf life is 12 months from date of shipment under recommended storage conditions of 40–60% humidity at 60°F to 80°F. Note: Adhesive peel strength supersedes cohesive strength of the foam carrier.
