Its fine, uniform cell structure contributes to consistent mechanical performance across its thickness range of .040″–.188″. The foam offers excellent chemical and water resistance and is highly conformable to irregular surfaces. Tensile strength is 90 psi lengthwise and 68 psi crosswise per ASTM D-3575 Suffix T. Elongation is 331% lengthwise and 302% crosswise. Tear resistance is 16 pli lengthwise and 14 pli crosswise per ASTM D-3575 Suffix G. Compression resistance at 50% deflection is 15 psi.
