AFTC 6415
AFTC 6415 is a double sided, closed cell acrylic foam tape with a permanent Acrylic Coating 60 adhesive system on both faces, available at 0.059″ thickness. It is specifically designed for bonding a wide variety of low surface energy materials — including powder coatings, plastics, coated glass, ceramics, silicones, Teflon, PP, and PE — without requiring a primer or adhesion promoter. The tape delivers a 90° peel adhesion of 23 lb/in and a dynamic shear strength of 89 lb/in², and is rated for long-term service up to 194°F and short-term exposure up to 248°F.

AFTC 6415 is a high performance double sided acrylic foam tape from the 64 series, constructed with a closed cell acrylic adhesive foam core coated on both sides with Acrylic Coating 60 — a formulation developed specifically for excellent initial tack and adhesion on low surface energy surfaces without the need for a primer or adhesion promoter.
At 0.059″ thickness, it provides greater bond-line compliance than the thinner 6406, 6408, and 6411 grades while sharing the same adhesive system, density, and temperature ratings. Good plasticizer resistance and very good adaptability are noted product characteristics. Note: all “Black+” tapes have a gray core and black adhesive.
The tape demonstrates excellent resistance to solvents and UV exposure and accommodates differential thermal expansion between dissimilar materials. As a pressure sensitive adhesive, a minimum bond line pressure of 14.5 psi applied by hand roller or mechanical presser is required for full adhesion. Shelf life is 18 months when stored in original packaging in a dry environment between 39.2°F and 100.4°F.
