AFTC AM9430 is the thickest grade in the AFTC acrylic foam tape range at 0.118″. It is constructed with an acrylic adhesive foam core coated on both sides with Acrylic Coating 47 permanent adhesive, supplied with a Red PE liner. Unlike the gray-colored grades in the AFTC Acrylic Coating 47 range, AM9430 is white, making it suited for applications where tape color and liner identification are relevant to the assembly process.
The tape delivers very strong bonding with excellent initial tack and adaptability, and is noted as ideal for lacquered parts and other coatings in the automotive industry as well as for bonding to high and medium surface energy substrates.
