AFTC HA7304
AFTC HA7304 is a double-sided heat-activated acrylic foam tape with a 0.016″ thick closed-cell acrylic foam core and 90° peel adhesion of 10 lb/in. The tape combines a hotmelt film adhesive designed to bond to extruded EPDM and TP rubber seals with a pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive rated for continuous service at 248°F and short-term exposure to 374°F. Excellent UV and solvent resistance support long-term performance in demanding sealing and bonding applications.

AFTC HA7304 is the thin-gauge member of the H-O Products AFTC heat-activated tape family, engineered for applications that require both a heat-activated permanent bond on one side and a pressure-sensitive bond on the other. The hotmelt film side is inactive at ambient temperature and, when heated during seal application, melts into extruded EPDM or thermoplastic rubber to form a strong, permanent bond. The opposite pressure-sensitive adhesive face uses the same system found in the Automotive AFTC series, providing immediate tack against clean substrates.
The tape is built on an uncoated acrylic adhesive foam core with a density of 52 lb/ft³ and a closed-cell structure that supports dimensional stability under load. It delivers excellent UV resistance and excellent solvent resistance, with a short-term temperature capability of 374°F and a minimum temperature rating of -40°F.
Static shear performance is rated at 1,000 grams at 72°F and 500 grams at 150°F and 200°F (weight that ½ square inch will hold for 10,000 minutes). Recommended application temperature is a minimum of 59°F, and full end-strength develops within 72 hours without primer or within 20 minutes when primed.
What differentiates HA7304 from thicker grades in the AFTC HA73 series?
HA7304 is the thinnest gauge in the series at 0.016", making it suitable for tight-tolerance bond lines where thicker foam cores would interfere with fit-up.
