BGT 1/32” is the thinnest grade in H-O Products’ BGT polyethylene glazing tape series, with a total thickness of 35.25 mils and a crosslinked polyethylene foam carrier of 31.25 mils. It is designed for window glazing, cushioning, and vibration damping applications, and can serve as a primary or secondary sealant in conjunction with a bead or caulking compound. The tape requires no curing and no edge trimming after application.
The double-sided permanent acrylic adhesive system provides a peel adhesion of 75 oz/in and shear adhesion exceeding 24 hours at 2.2 psi. Tack is 26 oz per ASTM D2979. Tensile strength is 107 lb/in per PSTC-131 and elongation is 355%. The tape exhibits great chemical resistance and is characterized by good conformability, low compression set, and a low application temperature. Both black and white are available.
