FilterPore® S-100X is a thermally reticulated, open-cell polyester foam offered across pore counts from 8 to 100 PPI and in many different colors, allowing a single formulation to serve applications from coarse pre-filtration through fine-particulate filtration. The 45 PPI cut is produced from this same base formulation, providing the finest pore structure among the four standard H-O cuts, suited to fine-particulate filtration and NPWT-style applications.
Density, 25% CFD, tensile strength, and elongation are consistent across all FilterPore® S-100X pore-count cuts, as published in the supplier’s product data sheet; only the pore count itself varies by cut.
Compliant with UL 900 Class 2.
What differentiates the 45 PPI cut of FilterPore® S-100X from its other pore-count cuts?
The 45 PPI cut has the finest pore structure of the four standard H-O cuts of the same FilterPore® S-100X formulation, while density, CFD, tensile strength, and elongation remain the same across all cuts.
Why does 25% CFD (compression force deflection) matter for filtration foam selection?
CFD indicates the firmness and support characteristics of the foam under load; FilterPore® S-100X's 0.4–0.6 psi range helps determine how the foam performs when compressed into filter housings or ducting.
What is the service temperature range for FilterPore® S-100X?
No specific service temperature range is specified on the manufacturer's TDS for this material.
Is the 45 PPI FilterPore® S-100X suitable for flame-rated environments?
Yes. FilterPore® S-100X is certified UL 900 Class 2 across all pore-count cuts.
How should the 45 PPI FilterPore® S-100X be specified?
Specify grade (FilterPore® S-100X), pore count (45 PPI), thickness, color, compliance requirements, dimensional tolerances, and finished format.
