At 20 pcf with a 25% Compression Deflection of 18 psi, it occupies the softer compression position within the 20 pcf density class, distinct from the significantly firmer I2040 at 40 psi within the same density.
The foam delivers excellent high-temperature compression set — 1.4% per ASTM D1056 and 3.5% per D3574 — with superb compression fatigue resistance for extended repeated-deflection service. Tensile strength of 125 psi and elongation of 125% provide strong fabrication characteristics. The material accepts adhesive laminations, fabrics, films, and custom coatings.
