HyPUR-cel® R2015T
HyPUR-cel® R2015T is a high-resilience open cell polyurethane foam in the HyPUR-cel® R-series with a typical density of 20 pcf (17–23 pcf tolerance) and a 25% Compression Deflection of 15 psi (12–22 psi tolerance) per ASTM D1056. It delivers 57% resilience per ASTM D2632 together with 150 psi tensile strength, 240% elongation and 26 lb./in tear strength, a substantially tougher and more elastic profile than R2015 at the same density and firmness. The material operates across a service temperature range of -40°F to 250°F and is engineered for stable energy return, low hysteresis loss and excellent stress relaxation resistance through repeated cyclic compression.

HyPUR-cel® R2015T is the “T” variant of R2015 in the HyPUR-cel® R-series, matching its 20 pcf density and 15 psi 25% Compression Deflection while raising resilience to 57% per ASTM D2632 and tensile strength to 150 psi with 240% elongation. The R-series is engineered with an elastomeric cell structure rather than relying on pneumatic rebound, so it maintains cellular and dimensional integrity through more than one million cycles at 50% compression.
R2015T combines that energy return with excellent stress relaxation resistance and low hysteresis loss, keeping contact pressure and rebound consistent over the product’s service life, and a compression set of 1.5% per ASTM D1056 confirms strong shape recovery. Its 26 lb./in tear strength and high elongation suit die-cut footwear, sporting goods and dynamic gasket components. The foam accepts adhesives, laminated fabrics, films, custom coatings and composites.
What differentiates R2015T from R2015 within the HyPUR-cel® R-series?
Both are 20 pcf grades with a 15 psi 25% Compression Deflection. R2015T is the higher-performance variant: 57% resilience versus 50% for R2015, 150 psi tensile strength versus 90 psi, and 240% elongation versus 160%. It is specified when the application needs more energy return and toughness at the same firmness.
Why is resilience important for R2015T in dynamic applications?
Resilience measures how efficiently a foam returns energy after deflection. R2015T achieves 57% resilience per ASTM D2632, and because the R-series uses an elastomeric cell structure rather than pneumatic rebound, it holds that response through repeated cyclic compression (1M+ cycles at 50% compression). That translates to consistent force recovery in sealing, footwear, sporting goods and bumper applications.
What is the service temperature range for R2015T?
R2015T is rated for continuous service from -40°F to 250°F as listed on the Rubberlite property sheet.
Is R2015T rated for flammability or other compliance standards?
No flammability rating or compliance standards are listed on the manufacturer's current property sheet for R2015T. Flame retardant and anti-microbial additives are available depending upon volume, and H-O can arrange application-specific testing.
How should R2015T be specified?
Specify grade (R2015T), thickness, dimensional tolerances, and finished format (roll, sheet or die-cut part), plus any adhesive, film or fabric lamination.
