HyPUR-cel® R2560T
HyPUR-cel® R2560T is a high-density, high-firmness open cell polyurethane foam in the HyPUR-cel® R-series with a typical density of 25 pcf (21–30 pcf tolerance) and a 25% Compression Deflection of 60 psi (50–80 psi tolerance) per ASTM D1056. It delivers the highest resilience in the series at 60% per ASTM D2632 together with 310 psi tensile strength, 225% elongation and 50 lb./in tear strength. The material operates across a service temperature range of -40°F to 250°F and is engineered for stable energy return, low hysteresis loss and excellent stress relaxation resistance through repeated cyclic compression.

HyPUR-cel® R2560T is a firm 25 pcf grade in the HyPUR-cel® R-series, pairing a 25% Compression Deflection of 60 psi with the highest resilience in the series, 60% per ASTM D2632. The R-series is engineered with an elastomeric cell structure rather than relying on pneumatic rebound, so it maintains cellular and dimensional integrity through more than one million cycles at 50% compression.
R2560T combines that energy return with 310 psi tensile strength, 50 lb./in tear strength and 225% elongation, giving it the toughness for high-load dynamic sealing, footwear and sporting goods components, and repeated-deflection bumpers and stops. A compression set of 1.7% per ASTM D1056, excellent stress relaxation resistance and low hysteresis loss keep contact pressure and rebound consistent over the product’s service life. The foam accepts adhesives, laminated fabrics, films, custom coatings and composites.
What differentiates R2560T from R2580T and R2035T within the HyPUR-cel® R-series?
R2560T is a 25 pcf grade with a 60 psi Compression Deflection and 60% resilience. R2580T is the firmest grade in the series (60–100 psi, published as provisional), while R2035T is a 20 pcf grade at 35 psi. R2560T is specified when a firm, high-density dynamic foam with maximum energy return is required.
Why is resilience important for R2560T in dynamic applications?
Resilience measures how efficiently a foam returns energy after deflection. R2560T achieves 60% resilience per ASTM D2632, and because the R-series uses an elastomeric cell structure rather than pneumatic rebound, it holds that response through repeated cyclic compression (1M+ cycles at 50% compression). That translates to consistent force recovery in sealing, footwear, sporting goods and bumper applications.
What is the service temperature range for R2560T?
R2560T is rated for continuous service from -40°F to 250°F as listed on the Rubberlite property sheet.
Is R2560T rated for flammability or other compliance standards?
No flammability rating or compliance standards are listed on the manufacturer's current property sheet for R2560T. Flame retardant and anti-microbial additives are available depending upon volume, and H-O can arrange application-specific testing.
How should R2560T be specified?
Specify grade (R2560T), thickness, dimensional tolerances, and finished format (roll, sheet or die-cut part), plus any adhesive, film or fabric lamination.
