ManniGlas® 2000 is a non-respirable glass fiber paper designed for thermal gasket and insulation applications, available in thicknesses of 1/16″, 1/8″, and 1/4″ with post-compression densities of 6.5 to 11 lb/ft³ depending on gauge. It withstands continuous operating temperatures up to 1100°F with excursion capability to 1200°F and achieves a LOI of 6% by weight. The material passes UL 94V-0 for non-flammability (excluding certain specialty grades), is ROHS compliant, and REACH compliant.

ManniGlas® 2000 is a non-respirable glass fiber paper within the ManniGlas® product family, engineered for thermal gasket, sealing, and high-temperature insulation applications.
Available in 1/16″, 1/8″, and 1/4″ gauges in both Black and White (note: Black is not available in 1/4″), the product is designed for applications including foil-laminated thermal barriers for light fixtures, automotive thermal shields, aircraft noise reduction and thermal protection, and outlet pipe insulation.
The material features a highly uniform surface, excellent thickness control, and die-cutting properties suited for intricate shapes and narrow spans.
Formulated with non-formaldehyde-based binders, ManniGlas® 2000 exhibits outstanding dimensional stability, flexibility, and excellent compression resistance. Thermal conductivity ranges from 0.22 BTU in/hr ft²°F at a mean temperature of 75°F to 1.29 BTU in/hr ft²°F at 1100°F per ASTM C177 — higher values at elevated temperatures than the ManniGlas® 1900/1902 series, reflecting the different fiber construction of this grade. LOI is 6% by weight. The product is manufactured under ISO-9001:2008 certification.

What differentiates ManniGlas® 2000 from ManniGlas® 1900 and 1902?
ManniGlas® 2000 is available in both Black and White (versus White-only for 1900 and Black-only for 1902) and has a different fiber construction reflected in its thermal conductivity values — reaching 1.29 BTU in/hr ft²°F at 1100°F versus 0.98 BTU in/hr ft²°F for the 1900/1902 series at the same temperature. ManniGlas® 2000 is also available only in three gauges (1/16", 1/8", 1/4") versus four for the 1900/1902 series, which additionally offer 1/32". Its application set includes aircraft noise reduction and light fixture thermal barriers, which are not listed for the 1900/1902 grades.
Why is compression resistance important for this material?
ManniGlas® 2000 is used in gasket and sealing applications where compression resistance determines whether the material maintains its thickness and sealing integrity under mechanical clamping force. The TDS reports excellent compression resistance as a key product feature, and post-compression density values are provided by gauge (6.5 to 11 lb/ft³) to characterize the material's behavior under the specified measurement gauge pressures.
