It is a closed-cell foam constructed from a blend of Neoprene, Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM), and Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR), providing high and low temperature resistance across a service range of -40°F to 200°F.

Why is compression set critical for a soft closed-cell Neoprene foam used in gasketing and weatherproofing?
Soft foam grades compress under minimal closure force and are most susceptible to progressive permanent deformation over time. In door, window, hatch, and cleanroom gasketing applications, a soft foam with high compression set gradually loses its ability to return to original thickness when the closure load is released, reducing the seal contact force and allowing infiltration of air, moisture, dust, or sound.
