SGT T2040GZ is a very high density, high modulus polyurethane foam coated on one side with a high performance permanent acrylic adhesive (I645) and a 55# Gold Glassine liner. Adhesion to steel is 86 oz/in at 15 minutes dwell and 106 oz/in at 72 minutes dwell per PSTC-101 MOD. The foam carrier has a service temperature of -40°F to 250°F and the acrylic adhesive service temperature is -4°F to 300°F. The product passes FMVSS-302 at .063″ or thicker and is suited to curtain walls, silicone structural glazing, skylights, auto glass replacement, thermal breaks, and vibration damping applications.

SGT T2040GZ is the single-sided adhesive version of H-O Products’ SGT T2040 structural glazing tape system, featuring the same very high density, high modulus open cell polyurethane foam carrier coated on one side with a permanent acrylic adhesive (I645) and protected by a 55# Gold Glassine liner. The acrylic adhesive provides strength and dimensional stability, conforms to flat and curved surfaces, and has good dimensional stability.
It is designed for curtain walls, silicone structural glazing systems, solariums, skylights, auto glass replacement, thermal breaks, 2 and 4-sided structural glazing systems, and vibration damping. The tape is easy to use for assembly and spacing and prevents shifting after assembly.
