What started as one man’s simple vision to come up with a “foam weatherstripping tape” is now celebrating 50 years in business!
In 1971, my father, H.G. “Steve” Olson founded H-O Products to produce a line of foam weather sealing tapes and various shipping pads for the glass and window and door industry. Starting on the 3rd floor of an old mill building here in Winsted with a few pieces of converting equipment, a shop foreman and two machine operators, we have grown to an engineered solutions provider servicing over 15 major industries worldwide. I took the reins in 1990 and like my father, I shared his passion for customer service, innovation and the willingness to take on new challenges that will add value for our customers. His words, “We take on the jobs that nobody else would do” are more true today than ever.
As we celebrate our Golden Anniversary here at H-O Products, we fully appreciate this was only possible with the loyalty and support of our valued customers. As we wrap up 2021, we have many reasons to be thankful and positive about what lies ahead. First, we have well over 1,000 very loyal customers, many of whom have been with us for over 20 years, for which we are very, very thankful. Equally important, our core team here at H-O is stronger than ever and we truly believe our people are our greatest asset. We have a world class team that stands ready to take on whatever challenges you may throw our way.
Finally, we are finishing 2021 in the strongest financial position ever. We have been able to use that to your advantage as a customer by bringing in additional raw material inventory to hedge against supply chain shortages, adding additional new equipment and existing equipment upgrades to give us new capabilities and capacity to get your products out on time, with the high quality standards that you rightfully expect from us. We believe the forecast for 2022 and beyond has never been brighter here at H-O Products and we are honored to be able to count the partnerships with all of our customers as a vital part of that forecast!
