BISCO® HT-6135 — Medium-Soft Solid Silicone — Technical Overview & FAQs
Product Overview
BISCO® HT-6135 is a medium-soft solid silicone rubber (35 Shore A) engineered for high-performance sealing, gasketing, and vibration isolation in demanding environments.
Its balance of softness and strength makes it ideal for applications requiring reliable sealing under moderate clamp loads while maintaining excellent flexibility and durability.
HT-6135 provides low compression set, long-term heat resistance, and outstanding weather and UV stability, making it one of the most versatile materials in the BISCO HT-6000 series for industrial, aerospace, and electronic sealing systems.

FAQs
What is BISCO HT-6135 used for?
HT-6135 is a medium-soft silicone rubber designed for sealing, gasketing, and vibration isolation where flexibility and environmental resistance are key.
What makes HT-6135 different from other silicones?
Its 35 Shore A durometer provides an ideal balance between softness and strength — flexible enough for tight sealing, yet durable under repeated compression and vibration.
Can HT-6135 handle high temperatures?
Yes — it maintains physical integrity and sealing performance up to 450 °F (232 °C) and remains flexible at temperatures as low as –80 °F (–62 °C).
Is HT-6135 suitable for outdoor or UV-exposed applications?
Absolutely. It resists UV, ozone, and weathering, ensuring long-term sealing performance in outdoor and high-humidity environments.
Can HT-6135 be supplied in custom-cut or adhesive-backed formats?
Yes — it is available as sheets, rolls, or die-cut gaskets, with optional silicone or acrylic PSA backing for peel-and-stick installation.
