Product Overview
MF1 Soft is a lightweight cellular silicone foam block designed for applications requiring cushioning, sealing or vibration absorption, especially where fire, smoke and toxicity (FST) resistance is critical. It is the “Soft” firmness grade within the MF1 series.

Applications

Cushioning in rail seating and mass transit interior assemblies
Environmental sealing in electronic or industrial enclosures
Vibration isolation pads and lightweight structural cushioning

Performance Advantages
MF1 Soft features very low density (~5 lb/ft³), very low compression force (~0.2-1.2 psi), excellent fire and smoke resistance (UL94 V-0/HF-1, FMVSS-302), very low compression set (~1.5%) and service temperature up to ~392 °F. It remains resilient under long-term use and severe environmental conditions.

Density approximately 5.0 lb/ft³. Compression force deflection range about 0.2-1.2 psi. Compression set around 1.5% after 22 hrs at 212 °F at 50% compression. Tensile strength ~12.5 psi. Elongation ~45%. Thermal conductivity ~0.036 W/m·K uncompressed. Low temperature flex passes at -67 °F.
