HT-870 Soft Closed-Cell Silicone Foam — Technical Overview & FAQs

What is HT-870?

HT-870 is a soft, closed-cell silicone foam that provides excellent compression sealing and flame resistance. It’s qualified to UL 94 V-0 / HF-1 and FMVSS-302 standards.

Where is HT-870 typically used?

Electronic and HVAC environmental seals
Transportation and aerospace equipment
Any application requiring soft conformity and flame safety

What makes HT-870 different?

Low CFD (~ 3.8 psi @ 25 %) and low compression set (~ 1.6 %)
Strong flame rating and excellent UV resistance
Durable performance in -67 degrees F to 392 degrees F conditions

Does HT-870 maintain sealing after aging?

Yes, its compression set remains below 2 % after extended heat aging and environmental cycling.

Are adhesive backings available?

Yes, offered with high-temperature silicone or acrylic adhesive options.
