Product Overview

BISCO® MS80 – Medical & Life-Science Grade Silicone Foam

Product Overview
BISCO MS80 is a lightweight, open-cell silicone foam designed for demanding medical and life-science environments. It provides long-term resilience, vibration isolation, and cushioning while meeting the strict biocompatibility and safety standards of FDA 21 CFR 177.2600. The material’s open-cell structure ensures softness, breathability, and high acoustic absorption while maintaining mechanical stability under stress.

Applications
MS80 is used in medical seating, diagnostic equipment, bioprocessing seals, and laboratory instruments requiring long-term exposure to sterilizers, heat, and moisture. It is also ideal for gasketing and vibration damping in cleanroom and electronic-grade devices.

Performance Advantages
MS80 provides outstanding vibration isolation and cushioning, high resistance to sanitizers, ozone, and UV, and maintains elasticity from –67 °F to 392 °F. The platinum-cured composition ensures long service life and low outgassing suitable for sensitive medical applications.
