Product Overview
Polyimide Foam With Rubber Adhesive & Aluminum Foil — Technical Overview & FAQs
What is this product?
This product combines a lightweight polyimide foam core with a rubber pressure-sensitive adhesive and an aluminum foil facing. It’s built for applications requiring thermal/acoustic insulation, bonding capability, radiant heat control and flame/smoke safety.
Where is it typically used?
Aerospace ducting, fire-walls, and under-floor insulation where radiant heat reflection and bonding are required
Industrial ovens, furnaces and HVAC systems where foil-facing enhances durability and radiant barrier performance
Acoustic panels, equipment housings and bonded insulation assemblies in transportation and defense systems
What makes it unique?
Aluminum foil facing adds radiant barrier, abrasion resistance and improved flame/smoke performance
Rubber adhesive backing provides clean, fast bonding to metals, plastics and composite substrates
Foam core retains low-density, low off-gassing, high temperature insulation and acoustic absorption properties
